Electronic Travel Authorization (eTA)
In operation
Canada's eTA is an online entry requirement for visa-exempt foreign travellers who fly to or transit through a Canadian airport. Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada runs the programme and charges CAD 7 per application, according to its official page last modified on 5 June 2026 1. Dual Canadian citizens need a Canadian passport instead. No contract, vendor, system cost or audit finding for the eTA was found in the sources reviewed. The entry is kept as a fee reference point next to the UK ETA and EU ETIAS.
