Customs passenger inspection user-fee programme

In operation Status as of 1 October 2026 · Funding type: Passenger or user fee

CBP's fiscal-year 2027 notice sets the commercial aircraft or vessel passenger arrival fee at USD 7.61 1. The regulation explains that its printed base amounts are adjusted annually and describes collection and exemptions 2. This is a public inspection-funding programme, not a vendor contract. GAO recommended aligning customs and immigration fee arrangements and later marked the legislative-proposal recommendation implemented. That outcome means a proposal was submitted, not that Congress enacted consolidation 3. A supplier allocation, contract price, procurement route and system-ownership terms are not established by these sources.
