SITA reported that Hamad International Airport and Qatar Airways had launched Fast Pass across more than 700 passenger-processing touchpoints on 6 July 2026. Passengers could enrol through the airline application or a kiosk, then use facial verification for check-in, baggage drop, security and boarding. Participation was optional, with conventional processing available. SITA described expansion to transfer passengers and other airlines as future work, not completed deployment. This is a company-reported airport journey, separate from Qatar's World Cup advance-passenger and Hayya programmes. The release does not disclose contract price, duration or retention terms. 1
